The Power of Intention: A Week to Change Your Life
There is a quiet force that shapes our lives far more than we realize. It's not luck. It's not hustle. It’s intention.
The energy we carry, the direction of our thoughts, the stories we tell ourselves—all of these send ripples into the world. And when we learn to wield our intention deliberately, life begins to shift in beautiful, almost magical ways.
What Is Intention?
As the late spiritual teacher Dr. Wayne Dyer so often said, "Our intention creates our reality." Intention is not just a wish or a vague hope—it’s a powerful inner directive. It's the energy that precedes action and invites unseen forces to co-create with us.
Unlike goals (which are future-based), intention anchors you in the present moment. It's about who you're being now.
The mystic Carlos Castaneda wrote:
"In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent... and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link."
That connecting link? It's in you. It is you. And you can activate it
A Simple Practice: Set an Intention When You Wake and When You Go To Sleep.
Try this one week experiment. It could change everything.
Each morning, upon waking, ask yourself:
“How do I want to feel today?”
“Who am I choosing to be today?”
“What energy am I offering the world?”
Then choose an intention. It could be:
I move with grace and ease.
I welcome love in all its forms.
I am grounded, present, and open.
I trust the unfolding of my day.
Write it down. Speak it aloud. Let it live in your body.
Each night before bed review your day. Notice where did you act in alignment with your intention? Where did you disconnect from it. Then call back your power from the stay. Stand complete with the day. Acknowledge whatever didn’t get done, what didn’t go the way you intended. And make peace with it and let it go. This allows you to call back your power from the day.
Then set an intention for dreamtimes as you drift into sleep. Ask your dreams for guidance and set the intention to remember your dreams.
“I will remember my dreams. Show me how to resolve( a situation). Help me to see what I am not seeing”.
This bookending of your day creates an energetic container that keeps you aligned, centered, and magnetic.

Intentions help you anchor into who you’re becoming, not just what you’re doing. They quiet mental chatter and realign your nervous system with your highest vision.
When you commit to this practice for just one week, you may notice:
Synchronicities appear
Conversations feel more nourishing
Your mood improves
