Fall Equinox: Finding Balance During the Season of Letting Go

As women we are cyclical beings. Every month we go through a Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. (To read more about your cycle click here). This allows us to connect to the different energies on a more subtle level. And then we also experience the seasons, and the cycles of life. The transition times and the space between one ending and another beginning are powerful and potent. The veils between the Earth and Sprit realm are thin, and the opportunities for quantum growth are endless. The Fall Equinox is such a time. The year it is on September 22, 2025 at 2:19 p.m. EDT, the sun aligns directly above the equator, casting near-equal light and darkness across the globe. This balance invites us into reflection, release, and renewal. It marks the ending of Summer, the season of abundance, play, joy and celebration and ushers in Fall, the season of harvesting, decay and letting go.

Equinox Ritual: Honor. Harvest. Release.

1. Find Balance Within

  • Acknowledge the polarities within you. The feminine and masculine, the light and the dark. Stand tall and firmly place your feet on the ground. Close your eyes. Allow your body to rock forward placing your weight into your toes. Then rock backwards with your weight in your heals. Do this a few times each time passing through your center. Find your center, breathe here. Say to yourself “I am balanced, I am grounded, I am whole.”

2. Set Intention with the Emerging Sun

  • As dawn breaks launch your intention for the season.

  • Speak aloud: “I honor balance. I release what no longer serves. I welcome aligned beginnings.”

3. Connecting with Nature

  • Offer corn, seeds, water, or small tokens of gratitude to the earth as a symbol of reciprocity and grounding.

  • Spend quiet time in nature: feel roots grounding you and branches carrying your prayers upward.

The Equinox itself stands as an eternal threshold—a gate between seasons and dimensions. Embrace it as a powerful portal for anchoring mind, body, and spirit in sacred balance and intuitive expansion

Questions For Reflection

  • Honor Your Light- What are your gifts and strong points? What makes you unique you that you love about yourself?

  • Honor Your Dark- What are your tendencies, habits, and quirks that you feel shame about or want to change? Where do they come from?

  • What inner patterns or burdens are you ready to release that weigh on your spirit?

  • What seed of intention do you wish to ground now—for the next season and beyond?

The Fall Equinox invites you to exist in the threshold—neither letting go nor holding too tightly, embracing both your shadow and your light. May you step into your next chapter with clarity, balance, and radiant alignment.
